Brooklyn Artist Collections Unveiled: Enchanted Femininity

In 2026, I am stretching my limits artistically in ways I never have before and it has filled me with such energy. For the first time, I am building a full conceptual collection, instead of just individual pieces. I want this new collection, Enchanted Femininity, to be an entire world; a world rooted in florals, feminine strength, texture, and spirit. With this new collection, I’m taking my signature vibrant, heavy texture florals into an entirely new dimension as I experiment with sculpture and form.

Enchanted Femininity

This collection is largely inspired by fantasy authors, such as Sara Beth Durst who wrote books likeThe Enchanted Greenhouse andThe Spellshop. These fantasy stories, like many of the themes in my work, create magical worlds filled with energy and spirit.

Brooklyn Artist, April Baez, creates floral artwork using heavy textured acrylic paint in vibrant colors for new collection Enchanted Femininity

At the heart of my Enchanted Femininity collection is the piece Garden Enchantress. This heavy textured, sculptured art carries with it ethereal, whimsical magic, and teaches us about having compassion for the world around us, and living a life filled with wisdom, and joy.

One of the most exciting evolutions in this collection is my exploration into sculptural form. This sculpted floral dress is created using  Gaffery Art Material heavy texture, acrylic paint to form layers of 3D blooms. I'm enjoying the challenge of creating something sculptural that forces me to evolve and grow in my abilities.

I am truly enjoying this journey of discovery, invention, and reflection.

Recent News and Upcoming Events

On February 15th, I had the honor of showing twin pieces from the Enchanted Femininity collection at Soul Art Gallery in NYC for a special pop-up event celebrating love and art.

One of the featured pieces, “Enchanted Kisses," meets us in the garden where we fall in love. It invites you to immerse yourself in a sanctuary of blooms and feel the magic of color and the blooms wash over you. It encourages you to let go and allow yourself to exist in a place where peace and love radiate in the air around you.

This piece, and really this entire collection, is about surrendering to beauty and exploring strength, compassion, and wisdom found in feminine nature.

I am also thrilled to have my botanical artwork appear in the Vivid Spring online exhibition March 1- May 1. During that time, I will have 5 works of art available, online only. Tickets are a suggested $10 donation, and include access to the artist talk where I’ll be presenting on March 1st, from 5-7pm! Join me during that time and grab your tickets today

You can see more of my artwork in the upcoming March issue of Artist Talk Magazine!  Until then, here’s a sneak peak of my featured artwork!

There are so many exciting things on the horizon, and I know this is only the beginning, as the Enchanted Femininity collection will continue to unfold throughout 2026. I am so excited to see where this art exploration takes me, and I cannot wait to share more.
